Overview

A DAO treasury is an on-chain payment path. The compliance shape is the same as any payment path: screen before sign, fail closed, log everything.

The three surfaces

• Outflows - vendor payments, grants, contributor compensation
• Inflows - donations, mints, membership fees
• Counterparty wallets - every address in the flow

The control

One sub-100 ms call per transaction screens wallet, name, and jurisdiction; the result is logged with the list version. The screening log template structures the audit trail.

The honest note

Decentralization does not dissolve liability - signers and operators remain in scope. Screening is the layer that makes a treasury defensible.
