OFAC sanctions programs on the SDN list

OFAC tags every entry on the Specially Designated Nationals list with the program it was designated under. This is every program code with at least 5 SDN entries as of 2026-07-24 — 66 of them, counted from Treasury's own export.

Why one entry can carry several codes

A designation is made under a legal authority — an executive order or a statute — and one person or company can be designated under more than one. OFAC records each as a separate program code on the same entry. There is no separate list per program, which is why screening should run against the whole SDN list and use the program code afterwards, to explain a hit rather than to narrow the search.
