Scenario: Agent Receives From a Sanctioned Wallet

The inbound payment scenario - screening works both directions.

The setup

A counterparty wallet - on the SDN list - attempts to pay your agent for a service. This is the inbound side: you are about to receive funds from a blocked person.

Why inbound matters

Receiving funds from a blocked person is also prohibited. 'It was inbound' is not a defense; the prohibition runs both directions.

The resolution

  1. Inbound wallet screen matches the sanctioned address
  2. The payment is rejected/blocked
  3. The attempt is logged with the list entry and version
  4. You document the decision and report if required

The takeaway

Screening is bidirectional: screen outbound destinations AND inbound senders. One call covers both.
