SanctionsAIGlossary › Blocked Person

What is Blocked Person?

A blocked person is any individual or entity whose property and interests in property are frozen under OFAC sanctions. U.S. persons must block (freeze) any such property in their possession and are prohibited from transacting with the person without a license from OFAC.

Screening for Blocked Person-related risk is exactly what SanctionsAI automates — a single API (HTTP, CLI, or MCP) that screens names and wallets against OFAC lists before your agent pays. Free tier, no key: see the docs →
